Free Response on the Internet

One example of why it is necessary for change to a new security is because of the fact that there is more and more information being stored on the internet. One thing that helps with this is firewalls. Firewalls are an example of a computing technology that has security implication and can help people protect their personal information. Changing the bits per address also makes it easier for you to surf on the internet without having to receive viruses. It also helps increase the speed of the internet so you are able to access things faster. With a newer version of something, there is always bound to be bugs to the newer program. With more security, you are able to feel safer about using the internet and not having any information leaked out. If there is less security in newer addresses that requires more bits, then there is a chance for people to be able to hack into information easier as more and more people become dependent on the internet.

DNS is a system that translates domain names into IP addresses One reason that DNS is useful for a person that is looking for information on a web browser is because when you know the source of the IP address or DNS of a website, you can make sure that you are going somewhere that you can find what you are looking for. There are an enormous amount of websites and IP addresses that makes it hard to find where you want to go. DNS is a system that organizes that and makes it easier for you to access places where you want to go on the internet. One characteristic of DNS that demonstrates is that it distributes the responsibility of assigning domain names and mapping those names to IP addresses by designating authoritative name servers for each domain. This mechanism made the DNS distributed and fault tolerant and has helped avoid the need for a single central register to be continually consulted and updated making it easier for people to look for websites and programs on the internet.
