These days the amount of time spent online has been
increasing ever since the 1980’s and with more time being on the computer, it
also comes with social responsibility. Teenagers have grown increasingly
dependent on using the internet and technology to pass the time. This is not a
great thing as being on the internet distracts your mind more and makes you
less focus on your goals. Teens need to make sure that they are spending enough
time off the internet to make sure that your grades are good and you still interact
with family more. Students have shorter mind spans now so it’s up to them to
make sure that they can focus enough to do well at school. There needs to be a responsibility
that you won’t meet or speak with people you don’t know online which could
result bad things happening to you.
For adults, there needs to be a social responsibility on
the internet that they won’t do place anything out there that could potentially
corrupt a teenager. But the internet has been doing some good for the online
community if you make the right choices and remember your responsibilities.
There are times when you know you have things to be done and you should do them
instead of using the computer to waste time. The internet can provide you with
all of the information for school that you need which is better for students in
terms of time, but they need to be responsible so they will not cheat or copy. You
can talk with your friends online and with technology which makes it much more convenient
for people but make sure that you don’t speak with people you don’t know.
Teenagers can use the internet to express themselves and have a release from
the real world which is fine because reality can be too overwhelming, but to
make sure that what you do on the internet won’t hurt you in the future.
