To do this activity, we used a paper in replace
of a candy bar. The objective of the task was to be able to break the candy
into 12 equal pieces. In our group, which consists of Ruby and Alina, we
decided that 4 breaks were enough to split the piece of candy bar into 12 equal
pieces. We decided that each break just meant when we actually broke the candy,
not by how many paper there was. We think that it wouldn't count if we were splitting
them up in a pile all at once. That would take too much time and so we broke it
half first and then broke it into 6 pieces. On out last break we broke it in
half one more time with the papers piled together and made 12 equal pieces.
